To qualify to live at Bethany, individuals must meet age, income and other requirements. Rent is based on household annual income, as determined by HUD guidelines typically established at no more than 1/3 of monthly income. The majority of Bethany Center’s units are subsidized by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), our primary partner.
We accept applications from individuals interested in renting a unit at market rate or from individuals with disabilities (all ages). For the subsidized (HUD 202) units for seniors, there is an application waiting list. At this time, the waiting list is closed.
While it is impossible to determine when the waiting list will re-open,
we make every effort to notify the public of the waiting list status through
this website, paid advertisements, and announcements in major media outlets
and a number of private and public social service organizations. Historically,
the waiting list opens once in a 28-36 month period.
